I am Amber Jackson, the founder of Kween’s Korner. I began this program for my son and my niece, and it has since grown into a refuge and launchpad for many children. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in English from Texas State University and a Master’s in Education from Prairie View A&M University.
For more than a decade, I taught in New York City charter schools, serving diverse classrooms filled with children whose brilliance often went unseen by the system. I became known for helping students strengthen their foundations in math, reading, and science, areas where too many children are left behind. These experiences, together with my academic training, shaped the foundation of my work and prepared me to support families, especially those navigating the challenges of large school systems.
Beyond credentials, my story is rooted in a love for children and discovery. I’ve always been drawn to their thirst for knowledge, the joy they radiate when uncovering something new, and the daily challenges that reveal the beauty of learning.
As a teacher, I embraced the Responsive Classroom approach, which prioritizes emotional safety and growth over simple compliance. This resonated deeply because, as a child, I endured emotional harm in school. That experience fuels my determination to create a space where children are not only taught, but truly seen, heard, and respected. I also know the reality many parents face: the exhaustion of navigating school systems that too often overlook Black children, children of color, and children with diverse learning needs and social-emotional differences, the frustration of seeing their brilliance dismissed, and the confusion of not knowing where to turn for help.
If you’ve ever felt tired of fighting for your child to be treated fairly, you are not alone. Too many of our children are slipping through the cracks of a system not made for them. Kween’s Korner exists to catch them, lift them, and launch them forward. Reach out today, your child deserves more than survival; they deserve to shine.
Children deserve not only to learn, but to be
seen, valued, and celebrated as whole human beings.

Our son is more expressive and socially engaged. Amber sees each child and meets them exactly where they are. We feel blessed to be part of this rare and special environment.

Here, academics meet identity and character. Parents and educators work side by side to raise children with confidence, voice, and presence. Kween’s Korner is not just about education, it is about nurturing whole children for life beyond the classroom.
